HomeCookingShare: To begin, who are you?
Naif: I’m Alessandro Aka Naif , Class 1988 . From Brindisi (South Italy).
HCS: How would you define your music?
Naif: I define my music with Lofi – Chillhop vibes. A genre of music as you listen in every moment of your day.
HCS: What made you decide one day to embark on this musical adventure?
Naif: I always shown passion with hip-hop starting at age 13 with breakdancing (Bboy), and now i continue the passion with Beatmaking.
HCS: Your influences?
Naif: My influences are: J Dilla – Madlib – 9th Wonder – Apollo Brown. About Music : I told before I’m also a Bboy, since many many years I’ve listened (Around the World) FUNK – 90’S HIP HOP – BREAK&BEATS – BREAKS etc etc …. In this , when I make music, I choose SAMPLES (absolutely IN VINYL ), genre : JAZZ – SOUL – JAZZ FUSION – PROG ROCK.
HCS: If you had to leave on a desert island with 3 discs: which ones?
Naif: :

HCS: Small technical point: with what material do you work?
Naif: I work with : Maschine Mk3 – Rolandsp404sx – MicroKorg. Software : Ableton. Speakers: M-Audio Bx5. Audio Interface : Apogee Duet
HCS: Not easy to break into the musical jungle, even with talent ... what do you think about it?
Naif: Yeah is true, but everybody can try to make something with MUSIC. Talent or not. The important thing is “DO WHAT YOU FEEL” . The last year i dropped 2 albums “How can I express Myself” with Insert Tapes and “Flowers” with Voolcano Harmonix Records. It takes a lot PASSION and DETERMINATION to reach your DREAMS.
HCS: And finally, if you have something to add (pretty much what you want ...), here we go!
Naif: I think: MUSIC is the the best way to “Express Yourself” in any genre / culture .The vibes that you FEEL it’s something that you can not describe with words
